“My name is Prudence Achieng Otieno. I am 14 years old. Before TAG Hoops for Kids program started in my school in Kisumu,  I had a lot of time and I walked around in the slums with friends getting into trouble. But since this program started, I now spend most of my time during the weekends and after classes at the basketball court  learning new skills and even talking about the difficulties of being an adolescent in the slums. The most valuable lessons I have learned are to use my time wisely and not follow my friends into trouble.”
