Based in Agohozo Shalom Youth Village for orphans and victims of genocide, Tag helped to develop a model farm and agricultural training center. The project provided agricultural training to the 500 youths living in the village, as well as sharing new farming practices with surrounding villages. The farm introduced new crop varieties, drip irrigation technology, beehive development and a nursery for saplings.
Tag sent an Israeli agronomist to train and supervise the training center staff and to develop the relevant curriculum for both the students and the farmers. Tag has hired a local agronomist to ensure the project is aligned with local conditions and needs.
